The CJM turns 10 on Jessie Square! Join us as we celebrate community with live music, gallery performances, art-making, and more. Activities all day!

CJM Members, join us and enjoy priority entrance into The CJM, along with a Member Lounge filled with treats and activities including Mah Jongg drop-in play.

Hands-on interactive fun throughout The Museum with lots of keepsakes that help build connections to family, friends, and heritage, plus pop-up programs celebrating The CJM’s architecture and exhibitions with music, film, dance, mini-tours, poets, and more.

Drop-in Mah Jongg Play
Drop-in and try your hand in a game of Mah Jongg—one of our most popular CJM events—with Mahj Club maven Sara Levy Linden. Linden will be introducing American-style Mah Jongg to anyone who wants to learn. Or bring your Mahj group and mahj sets to play at a table. Join us for a game and a nosh in the Member Lounge!

MAKE, WRITE, OR RELAX

11am–4pm

Add threads to the Collaborative Family Journeys Globes as you enter The Museum, Illuminate your Family Tree in the Blue Cube (a keepsake), letterpress three-color Conversation Journals in the Art Studio, create Letters to Loved Ones at the typewriter station in the Koret Taube Grand Lobby, and more.

Activities in collaboration with Blick Arts, SF Center For the Book, and artist C.K. Itamura.

The Calming Corner

Relax, read, or play in a quiet and less-crowded space anytime throughout the day.

Musicians and Dancers bring The CJM's architecture to life!

AXIS Dance Performance—In Defense Of Regret (2015, Duet Excerpt), performed by Lani Dickinson and Dwayne Scheuneman.

Architecture Dance Jam—join AXIS Dancers in a fun interactive dance jam for all.
