MacArthur Genius, and Guggenheim award-winning artist Teresita Fernández, whose sculpture Fire (2005), is prominently featured in the exhibition Beyond Belief: 100 Years of the Spiritual in Modern Art, will talk about her ideas behind incorporating the simulacra of the natural world into her large-scale installations.
Lecture is followed by a conversation with Nicole Archer, Assistant Professor; History and Theory of Contemporary Art, San Francisco Art Institute.
