Night at the Jewseum: Shimmer

ADMISSION: $8 after 5pm (includes Museum admission)

Let your light shine at Night at the Jewseum! Dance, drink, decorate, and dazzle on the fifth night of Hanukkah during the museum-wide activation and holiday celebration. Play gallery games in Lew the Jew. Stitch goldwork embroidery with the San Francisco Embroidery School in the Textile Lab. Pulse to the universal sounds of DJ CHLORA and bop to the klezmeresque YiddiotsStrut along with the cosmic Fashion Show. Ask a Rabbi with Maggid Jhos Singer. Nosh at La Cocina’s yummy Latke & Brisket Bar, and sip a specialty Tonic cocktail (all food and drink available for purchase). Plus more Hanukkah surprises to come!

This event is included in your general admission ticket. Thursday nights are $8 after 5pm. 

Sign language interpretation and CART real-time captioning can be requested for all programs with at least two weeks notice by emailing access@thecjm.org or by calling 415.655.7856 (relay calls welcome). FM assistive listening devices for sound enhancement are available for all talks and tours.

The Israel Museum’s curatorial team includes Curator in Charge Daisy Raccah-Djivre; Exhibition Curator Efrat Assaf-Shapira; Scientific Advisors No’am Bar’am Ben-Yossef and Esther Juhasz; Head of Traveling Exhibitions Sivan Eran-Levian and Traveling Exhibitions Coordinator Chandi Medad. Exhibition texts are based on the original 2014 Israel Museum exhibition Dress Codes: Revealing the Jewish Wardrobe and on The Jewish Wardrobe (edited by Esther Juhasz) published by the Israel Museum in 2012.
