2024–2025
ADMISSION: Free
The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM), the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), and the San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) present the thirteenth annual year of the Ezra Jack Keats Bookmaking Project.
The project promotes the art and craft of original bookmaking in the classroom and invites SFUSD students in grades K–12 to design, write, and assemble their own books. At the end of the project, participating students, families, and educators will be invited to The CJM for a joyful celebration honoring participants and showcasing student books!

Caldecott winner Ezra Jack Keats was the creator of over twenty children’s books, including the classic The Snowy Day. He was motivated to pursue a career as an author/illustrator as the result of an art achievement medal he received while attending public school in Brooklyn, New York.
